China's domestically produced largest converter transformer was successfully developed

Recently, China Xidian successfully developed 7 ±400kV converter transformers and 7 ±200kV converter transformers for Jiuquan-Hunan ±800kV UHV DC transmission project.

These 14 products are the 750kV and ±400kV (±200kV) voltage-class converter transformers on the grid side of China West Power. They are also the largest converter transformers in China. The performance indicators meet or exceed national standards. The requirements of the technical agreement and the technical level have reached the international leading level, which has promoted the technological upgrading and leap-forward development of the domestic DC equipment manufacturing, and realized the localized mass production of the converter transformer.

The construction of Jiuquan-Hunan ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project aims to further meet the needs of the rapid development of the development of Jiuquan Wind Power Base and the power consumption of Hunan, and promote the large-scale development of clean energy, optimize the development pattern of coal, and optimize the resources. It is of great significance to transform into an economic advantage, promote a low-carbon economy, and implement a national energy strategy.  

As the domestic 750kV voltage class transformer production, the largest number, the most experienced operating experience, as early as 2012, China Xidian completed the development of 750kV outlet device, which laid a good practical foundation for the implementation of the project. At the same time, China Xidian has provided converter transformers for many national key projects, leading the development of China's AC and DC power transmission and transformation equipment manufacturing.
