Among the two million-million-ton ethylene projects contracted by Shengu Group, Tianjin Petrochemical Ethylene Project has a total investment of 27 billion yuan and an annual production value of 20 billion yuan. Zhenhai Refining & Chemicals Ethylene Project has a total investment of 31.8 billion yuan and an annual output value of 50 billion yuan. The core equipment of these two sets of equipment, the cracking gas compressor unit and the propylene refrigeration compressor unit, are designed and manufactured by the Shengu Group.
Yan Yongbin, chief engineer of the China Machinery Industry Federation, said at a mobilization meeting with 4,000 employees in Shengu that eight of the 16 major technical equipments that the country has focused on will require the Shengu Group’s product support. The one million-ton ethylene plant is only one of three compressor units. In the future, Shengu will also be responsible for many of the “China's No. 1†and the first set of localization of the nuclear main pumps and important non-nuclear-grade pumps for the nuclear power plants in the millions of kilowatts, and the reciprocating compressors with 120 tons of piston thrust for the large-scale coal chemical industry.
