Still and Box Alarm Fire at 9105 Crandon this afternoon. The fire was reported in a 1.5-story split-level home. Engine 46 arrived on scene to find heavy fire showing through the front of the building. A person was trapped inside and unfortunately did not make it out. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, but the structure was severely damaged.
The incident happened during a cold afternoon, and snow was still on the ground, making conditions challenging for crews. Several photos have been shared by Josh, showing the extent of the damage. One image captures the house completely gutted by fire, while others show firefighters working on the roof, which was still covered in snow. These images give a clear view of how intense the fire was and the difficult environment the responders faced.
