· Continental Group strengthens control of fuel evaporative emissions

August 29th. Gasoline is not only highly flammable, but also very volatile. Inhalation of benzene-containing smoke can cause harm to human health. Hydrocarbons and automobile exhausts can cause photochemical smog under the action of sunlight, which is a major hidden danger in big cities. To alleviate the adverse effects of gasoline fuels, modern gasoline vehicles are generally equipped with an evaporative treatment system for reducing hydrocarbon emissions. All the fumes in the fuel tank are sucked into the activated carbon canister, and these activated carbon canisters that contain hydrocarbons need to be washed or desorbed frequently. The hydrocarbon-containing air flows into the combustion chamber through the intake manifold and is burned off by the engine. This system greatly reduces hydrocarbon vaporization emissions. However, we face two major problems: First, in the next four to five years, global emissions regulations will become more stringent; secondly, carbon canister desorption currently uses partial load of the engine, which is required during work ( "Throttle") A gasoline engine creates a vacuum in the intake manifold. In fuel-efficient gasoline vehicles, due to low throttle efficiency and avoiding throttling as much as possible, there is little or no vacuum available. In gasoline light-duty vehicles, the engine's running time is shortened again, and may not reach 20% of the driving time, so there is no more vacuum available.
Klaus Hau, head of the Sensors and Actuators business unit of the Continental Powertrain Division, said: “The Continental Group has developed an electrification solution that can further reduce hydrocarbon evaporation pollutants. The active detachment pump has achieved the first independent removal of carbon canisters. With no need to rely on engine operation and vacuum. With active desorption pumps, automakers will be able to better meet the various hydrocarbon emissions regulations that will be enacted.” Active desorption pumps are expected to be officially put into production as early as the end of 2019. .
From the active detachment pump to the active detachment rinsing system. Simply speaking, the efficiency of a modern gasoline vehicle depends to some extent on whether the engine can work as efficiently as possible under the most efficient operating conditions. The engine of a hybrid vehicle does not even work at all. . Since throttling losses can result in reduced thermodynamic efficiency of the engine, throttling should be avoided. Whether it is to solve environmental problems or economic reasons, reducing fuel consumption is an inevitable trend, and throttling has become increasingly unpopular. Stefan Grüneis, product manager for the Continental Group's Exhaust and Emissions Actuator Unit, said: “With the increasing demands on engine efficiency, the engine produces less vacuum in the gasoline engine and often does not reach the boundary conditions for tank desorption. Therefore, desorption becomes more and more difficult."
The active detachment pump operates independently of the vacuum; instead, it actively draws hydrocarbon-containing air from the canister. The radial pump used to accomplish this is simple, compact and lightweight, driven by a high efficiency brushless DC motor. Grüneis explained: “The biggest advantage of the active detachment pump is that we can use it on demand and activate it when necessary. This feature makes the active detachment pump a turbocharged engine that runs more often under high loads, The perfect combination of throttling design, start-stop system and hybrid system with long engine shutdown."
Active cleaning of the canister is only a core function of the new solution. Combined with other software modules and additional hardware (such as canister solenoid valves, tank lock valves), the solution will enable more features, including efficient detection of leaks and measurement of hydrocarbon content in the desorbed gas stream. Grüneis explained: “These additional features make the pump the core of the active desorption system. For example, to adjust the fuel injection during partial load or idling, the concentration of hydrocarbons in the desorbed gas stream must be determined.” In terms, fuel tank leak detection is currently a stand-alone system and must be designed separately. In contrast, it is more efficient to build an active desorption system based on existing active desorption pumps. To support the growing trend of system integration, the essential functional content of active detachment pumps and active detachment rinsing systems can be flexibly combined with hardware and software components.

PVC Roof Sheet

PVC roof sheet is made of PVC as the main raw material, supplemented by a variety of other chemical raw materials, after high-temperature plasticization and extrusion of various thicknesses, it is cooled and shaped. Because the raw material of PVC chemical industry itself has the function of resisting alkali corrosion of chemical hydrochloric acid, a variety of chemical materials are used to assist the secret ratio of raw materials to achieve the purpose of resisting ultraviolet radiation and resisting ageing, and the life expectancy can be used for many years.
