Box alarm fire in North Chicago, 9-28-20

9/28/20 – North Chicago, 05:04 hrs

Responded to Box 15-1 for a well-involved house fire at 2330 Lewis Avenue. The structure appeared to be vacant and was listed for sale. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene and began suppression efforts.

The fire was reported early in the morning, and crews worked quickly to contain the blaze. Despite the house being unoccupied, the fire was intense, and heavy smoke filled the area. Several units were dispatched, including a Pierce fire engine, which was seen on the scene.
