Top Ten News Technology in Rubber and Plastic Machinery Industry Become Bright Spots
In 2007, the China Petroleum and Chemicals Survey and Design Association's Rubber and Plastics Design Committee, along with the National Rubber and Plastics Machinery Information Center, released the top ten highlights of the Chinese rubber and plastics machinery industry. Among these, technological innovation stood out as a key driver of growth and development.
First, China solidified its position as the world’s largest producer and exporter of rubber machinery. In 2007, domestic sales surpassed 8 billion yuan, reflecting a year-on-year increase of over 10%. The country’s processing capacity reached more than 300,000 tons, while exports hit 120 million U.S. dollars—an impressive 33.33% rise compared to the previous year.
Second, the "Big Rubber and Plastic Cup" China International Rubber Industry Summit Forum was successfully held, bringing together industry leaders and experts to discuss future trends and opportunities.
Third, Dalian Rubber & Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd. celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the history of China's rubber machinery sector.
Fourth, several technology centers for rubber machinery were upgraded to national-level status. Notable companies such as Yangyang Rubber Plastic Machinery Group, Qingdao Higher Education Software, Guilin Rubber Machinery Factory, and Tianjin Saixiang Technology now host these advanced research hubs, showcasing the industry’s growing innovation capabilities.
Fifth, large-capacity intermeshing mixers were included in the national project aimed at revitalizing trade through science and technology. Yiyang Rubber Machinery’s model made its way to Europe, becoming the first large-scale Chinese rubber product to enter that market.
Sixth, the 3000-ton tire curing press from Guilin Rubber Machinery Factory passed technical evaluation. This critical equipment is essential for producing heavy-duty radial tires and represents the largest vulcanizing machine currently manufactured in China.
Seventh, Fujian Jianyang Longxiang Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. and other partners developed large steel engineering tire forming machines in sizes ranging from 49" to 57", enhancing production efficiency and capability.
Eighth, Tianjin Saixiang Science and Technology introduced an automatic one-time molding machine for passenger and light truck tires with diameters between 24" and 28", demonstrating progress in automation and precision.
Ninth, Qingdao launched the first domestically produced heavy-duty tire uniformity testing machine, filling a long-standing gap in the domestic market and offering a viable alternative to imported systems.
Tenth, Daxi Plastic successfully introduced China’s first simultaneous stretch film unit, a rare piece of technology that only a handful of global companies are capable of manufacturing. These developments highlight the rapid advancement and increasing competitiveness of China’s rubber and plastics machinery industry.
