"The 2005 China's Top 100 Auto Parts" was released
Reporter Wang Weiwei reported: On June 23, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the Department of Industrial Transport Statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics jointly released the "Top 100 Auto Parts Companies in China 2005" in Beijing. Wanxiang Group, Weifang Diesel Engine Factory, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Honda Engine Co., Ltd., and Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. ranked among the top five. Notably, for the first time, foreign-owned enterprises were included in the list.
This was the first official release of the top 100 auto parts companies in China for 2005. The two organizations announced the rankings to the public, highlighting the sales performance of leading auto parts firms from the previous year. They also confirmed that the list would be updated regularly in the future.
The ranking is based on the sales revenue of national auto parts manufacturers, reflecting the scale and overall strength of the companies. However, it excludes tire and glass manufacturers, as well as auto repair businesses. The data comes from various reports by the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, including monthly industrial statistics, annual reports, and industry profiles. All data has been verified and approved by the National Bureau of Statistics.
According to the report, the top 100 companies generated a total sales revenue of 217.577 billion yuan in 2005, up 10.7% from the previous year. This accounted for 63% of the total sales revenue of auto parts companies above the designated size. The top company achieved 25.215 billion yuan in sales, while the last company reached 618 million yuan, showing significant growth compared to the 2004 rankings.
Among the top 100, four companies had sales over 10 billion yuan, four between 5 billion and 10 billion, 14 between 2 billion and 5 billion, and 30 with sales below 1 billion yuan.
Geographically, coastal regions dominate the auto parts industry, with 78 companies located there, compared to 22 in inland areas. In terms of product types, engine companies are particularly prominent, with 19 firms listed and high sales volumes. Other key segments include automotive electronics, wheels, interior components, axles, transmission systems, and brake safety systems, all of which occupy a significant share of the list.
