"The 2005 China's Top 100 Auto Parts" was released

Reporter Wang Weiwei reported: On June 23, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the Department of Industrial Transport Statistics under the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) unveiled the "Top 100 Auto Parts Companies in China 2005" in Beijing. Wanxiang Group, Weifang Diesel Engine Factory, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group, Dongfeng Honda Engine Co., Ltd., and Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. secured the top five positions. Notably, this year's list included foreign-owned enterprises for the first time, reflecting a more diverse industry landscape. This was the inaugural release of the Top 100 auto parts companies in 2005. The CAAM and NBS once again jointly published the rankings of the top 100 firms based on their sales revenue from the previous year. The two organizations also announced that the list would be released regularly in the future, providing a consistent benchmark for the industry. The rankings are based on the sales revenue of national auto parts manufacturers, highlighting the overall scale and strength of each company. However, the list excludes tire and glass manufacturers, as well as auto repair companies. The data used comes from official reports such as the "Monthly and Annual Reports on Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size," "5000 Directly Reported Industrial Enterprises," and "Industry Profiles on Production, Sales, and Inventory of Auto Parts." All information has been verified by the National Bureau of Statistics. According to the statistics, the top 100 companies achieved total sales of 217.577 billion yuan in 2005, up 21 billion yuan or 10.7% compared to the previous year. This accounted for 63% of the total sales revenue of all auto parts companies above the designated size. The top company generated 25.215 billion yuan in sales, while the last company made 618 million yuan — an increase of 44% compared to the previous year’s figures. Among the top 100, four companies exceeded 10 billion yuan in sales, four reached between 5 and 10 billion, 14 were between 2 and 5 billion, and 30 had sales below 2 billion yuan. Geographically, coastal regions dominate the auto parts industry. Of the 100 companies, 78 are located in coastal areas, with 22 in inland regions. In terms of product categories, engine manufacturers hold a key position, with 19 companies listed and high sales volumes. Other major segments include automotive electronics, wheels, interior components, axles, transmission systems, braking systems, and engine parts, all of which occupy significant shares in the ranking.
