Chicago working fire, 11-19-16

Here's a message from Larry Shapiro:

Some photos from a working fire that occurred on Saturday morning, November 19, 2016, at 2310 W. Jackson Boulevard. By the time I arrived, the fire was already under control. It looks like there was a small fire on the roof, and I heard that roofers had been working on the building earlier that day. One firefighter was taken to the hospital by Ambulance 44 due to an injury sustained during the incident.

These images provide a glimpse into the scene as emergency crews worked to contain the fire. It’s always interesting to see the different vehicles and equipment that respond to such incidents. The presence of multiple engines and a ladder truck suggests a coordinated response, and it’s good to see that the fire was quickly brought under control. The fact that one firefighter was injured highlights the risks that first responders face every day. Thanks again to Larry for sharing these great shots.
