The process is characterized by the use of pellets in the shaft furnace for sodium oxide roasting. The pellet after leaching is used as a raw material for iron making.

The process is basically similar to that of Ortamaki. The total recovery of vanadium is 77%. The vanadium precipitation rate is 99.8%, with an annual output of V 2 O 5 3kt.
