Apple's passbook is getting bigger

Is Apple's passbook feature becoming more popular? Skycore, a mobile marketing and development support company, has recently expanded its services to provide users with another method, and their passbooks have passed a new delivery option. This new tool allows developers to provide passbook passes through multi-operator MMS or multimedia messaging services.

The passbook was first introduced on iOS 6 devices and quickly became a popular way to award coupons or other customer incentives for companies, while American Airlines used this feature to store boarding passes. Several Major League Baseball stadiums also allow users to redeem their tickets using passbooks. This feature is also often used to store virtual movie tickets and gift cards.
After connecting to SaaS Skycore, or the "Software as a Service" platform, users can securely download their data to their iPhone's SMS inbox. Passes can be transferred to their passbooks. Users can even deliver on devices powered by Google's Android platform. Skycore automatically detects if the user is using an Android-based phone and provides PassWallet Passbook Passport for Android.
Eicher Skycore CEO Rich, through MARKETWIRE, noted the advantages of MMS delivery via mobile e-mail delivery. Echo's optimized mobile email is a good choice, and MMS is ideal because the recipient immediately knows that they have received it and they do not need to open their email client to find the newsletter. Skycore currently supports the delivery of MMS passbooks to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.
