Sanyou Chemical disclosed that the 400,000-ton/year PVC and 500,000-ton/year caustic soda technical renovation project (Phase I) invested by Tangshan Sanyou Chlor-alkali Co. , Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, had recently been successfully tested and entered the pilot production stage. The technical and economic indicators of the project have reached the domestic advanced level. After the project is put into production, it is expected to realize a total profit of 54 million yuan. Sanyou Chemicals stated that the caustic soda produced by chlor-alkali can be used by chemical fiber companies to produce viscose staple fiber; the chlorine gas and hydrogen chloride produced are used for the silicon company's organic silicon monomer production; the waste calcium carbide sludge produced instead of lime milk is used for soda ash production. This reduces the consumption of limestone in the production of soda ash and reduces environmental pollution and costs. The new zero-electrode distance membrane electrolyzer and energy-saving fluidized bed equipment technologies used in the project are at the international and domestic advanced level, which can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the unit product, and has obvious energy saving and emission reduction effects.
