Emerson Provides VRC System for the World's Largest SSCV

It is reported that Heerema Marine Contractors has selected Emerson Automation Solutions to provide the valve (purchasing supply) for the world's largest semi-submersible crane (SRCV) "Sleipnir" which is currently being built in Singapore. (VRC) system.

The 220-meter-long semi-submersible crane will be used to install and dismantle large offshore structures such as oil and gas platforms, subsea production facilities, foundations, mooring (purchasing supplies) and deep-water floating structures. The ship is equipped with 2 rotating cranes (purchased by the product warehouse), each with a lifting capacity of 10,000 tons.

During the lifting process, the key task of stabilizing the "Sleipnir" will be undertaken by the ship's ballast control system (purchasing supply of the product library), which will convert the ballast water between the tanks on the ship (purchasing the product warehouse) Balance the weight of the lifting load.

Ballast control systems need to operate reliably under harsh sea conditions and strong earthquake conditions. To address these unique challenges, Emerson Automation Solutions designed a custom fully redundant Damcos valve remote control solution for the vessel's fluid management and ballast systems, including a total of 847 valves, actuators, local power supplies and 8 An interface box connected via a P-NET communication bus.
