Comparison between Pingyi Development and Shaft Development

Here, various major roadways are compared from excavation costs, tunneling speeds, investment amounts, production capacity, transportation costs, and other factors.

(1) The cost of tunneling is low. The cost per metre of tunneling is much lower than that of the shaft, and the maintenance cost is low. The installation facilities in Pingyi are simple, unlike steel shafts, such as steel (wood) beams, tanks, sound and light signals, etc., and there is no need for special pedestrians and corresponding pedestrian production capacity. The total cost (including excavation, masonry and installation costs) is still less than half of the vertical shaft, and the amount of infrastructure construction when using Pingshuo is small; Pingyi does not require complicated downhole yards and complex auxiliary facilities (such as rocking tables) like shafts. Or pallets, cans, etc.); the flat mouth is simple to set up, no need for derricks and hoisting machine rooms; flat rafts do not require as much heavy equipment as shafts, so the investment cost is low.
(2) Pingyi facilities are easy to manage and have good construction conditions. The speed of ploughing is much faster than that of the shaft. Especially in today's rapid progress in the level of mechanization, such as the use of rock drilling rigs and vertical rock-loading machines, the construction conditions and roadway speeds of the tunneling work have been greatly improved, even for large-section roadway excavation. The speed is also unmatched by the shaft (under the same conditions, the laneway speed is 2 to 3 times the shaft construction speed). Therefore, mines developed with Pingyi have short infrastructure time and can be put into production early, which is effective early.
(3) The drainage cost of Pingyi is low. The flat drainage is discharged by the flat drainage ditch (and the shaft needs special drainage facilities), which greatly reduces the drainage cost of the mine.
(4) The cost of transportation equipment is low. In terms of the price of the Ñ„2000 double-barrel winch, the cost is two to three times that of the equivalent transport equipment.
(5) The transportation cost of Pingyi is low. The transportation cost of flat ore per unit length is much lower than that of the shaft, which is generally only 1/3 of the cost.
(6) It is easy to ventilate in the flat (such as a single flat development, in small mines, often with natural ventilation to meet production needs), and simple. Flat ventilation costs (distributed by per ton of ore) are lower than shaft development.
(7) Pingyi production is safe and reliable, transportation is far greater than the transportation capacity of the shaft, and it is easy to manage. Unlike the shaft lifting, there are often accidents such as falling tanks and mine car falling wells.
Because of the development of Pingyi has more significant advantages. Therefore, as far as conditions permit, it should be used as much as possible.
