Henan Oilfield successfully developed a new energy-saving gear unit for pumping unit
The Jianghe Oilfield, part of the Henan Oilfield, has recently introduced an innovative energy-saving and deceleration device for pumping units, which is expected to save over 1 million yuan in annual operational costs. This new system has been specifically designed to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption in oil extraction operations.
The mine oversees the production of more than 1,000 oil and water wells, with approximately 25% of these wells experiencing insufficient liquid supply. To address this challenge, the team conducted extensive technical research and applied the principles of pure mechanical transmission in their design. A key innovation was the installation of a deceleration device between the pumping unit's motor and the reduction gear box.
By increasing the transmission ratio, the system achieves a second stage of deceleration, effectively lowering the rotational speed of the pumping unit’s large pulley. This allows the pumping unit to operate at a lower speed, reducing wear and tear on the equipment while also minimizing energy use. The result is a more stable and efficient operation, especially in wells with limited fluid supply.
This advancement not only helps in saving costs but also contributes to the long-term sustainability of the oilfield operations. The implementation of this technology marks a significant step forward in optimizing the performance of pumping units in challenging conditions.
