300,000 tons/year coal tar processing equipment passed acceptance

Shanxi Coking Co., Ltd. has become China's largest coal tar processing equipment producer, with its 300,000-ton-per-year coal tar processing and transformation project now reaching a major milestone. The first phase of the project has been completed and recently passed expert evaluation organized by the Shanxi Provincial Economic Commission. This marks a significant step forward in the company's efforts to enhance its production capacity and technological level in the coal chemical industry. The total investment for the entire 300,000-ton-per-year project amounts to nearly 900 million yuan. It includes the construction of 13 key production units, along with supporting facilities such as coal tar pretreatment, distillation, and fraction washing. The project is designed to produce 6 series and 33 types of products, covering a wide range of valuable chemical raw materials. In the first phase, seven critical production lines were established, including coal tar pretreatment, distillation, dephenolization, refined phenol, industrial naphthalene, modified asphalt, and carbon black production. These facilities enable the production of 17 different products, such as light oil, phenol, industrial naphthalene, washing oil, and modified asphalt. This expansion not only enhances the company’s competitiveness but also contributes to the sustainable development of the coal chemical industry in the region.
