During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, the National Textile Machinery and Accessories Standardization Committee is set to develop and revise a number of key standards in line with the evolving needs of the textile industry. The goal is to elevate the level of standardization, thereby enhancing the overall competitiveness of the sector. According to recent reports, one of the main priorities for the committee during this period involves drafting and revising foundational and product standards that are currently in short supply. These include critical areas such as equipment communication interfaces, electronic control systems, dyeing and finishing machinery, and air-jet looms.
Additionally, the committee aims to establish new standards for the production of advanced fiber-making equipment, including those used for bamboo fiber, hemp fiber, and protein fiber. This initiative reflects an effort to align domestic standards more closely with international benchmarks, ensuring that the standards developed are not only more scientific and practical but also more globally competitive. By integrating with global standards, the committee hopes to improve the professionalism and international recognition of China's textile machinery industry.
In the past year, the Secretariat of the National Textile Machinery Standards Committee, in collaboration with various research institutes, successfully worked on over ten national and industry standard revisions, and issued nearly twenty new standards in quick succession. This progress highlights the committee’s active role in driving industry development through standardized practices.
Looking ahead, the committee plans to strengthen its organizational structure by affiliating the China Textile Machinery and Electronic Research Institute with the China Textile Machinery Industry Association. This move is expected to enhance coordination, promote knowledge sharing, and further support the long-term growth of the textile machinery sector.
